Every other track on this site has been written from the fence or the paddock. This one has not. We have never been to Mécaglisse.
It stays on the site because it stays on the list. Circuit Mécaglisse sits in Quebec's Laurentians and hosts rounds of the Canadian Supermoto Championship, which means it is part of the map for an Ontario family whether or not they have made the drive east yet.
Why it keeps not happening
Nothing dramatic. A season has a finite number of weekends, and the ones closest to home get spent first — the local round you can leave for on Saturday morning, the club day that does not need a hotel. A Quebec round is a different kind of commitment: a long haul with a bike, a kid, and everything that supports both, for a weekend that could be rained out like any other.
That maths is not unique to us. It is the quiet reason a lot of tracks stay theoretical for a lot of families. Nobody decides never to go. They just decide not to go this year, and then again the next one.
What makes it worth the drive anyway
The thing Mécaglisse is known for is the combination Ontario cannot really offer: elevation on top of surface change. Supermoto already asks a rider to move between asphalt and dirt without a lap to prepare. Adding real vertical change means crests that hide what comes next and sightlines that keep moving, so a rider cannot lean on a memorised line the way they can on flat ground.
That is the part worth travelling for. Not a faster lap — a different demand. Reading what is under the tires and changing your inputs before the next corner asks for it is a skill you cannot practise on a track that never surprises you.

I am not going to describe the paddock, the atmosphere or the local riders, because I have not stood in it. There is a version of this post that does exactly that, and it would read well, and none of it would be true.
